BMW Calling is an App for proximity marketing actions developed on the occasion of the Never Ending Season, the season of events for BMW Motorrad lovers. Four weekends and four Open Days in dealerships throughout Italy to involve motorcyclists interested in the new models, who demonstrate their presence in the showroom thanks to a check-in and thus participate in the extraction of a final prize signed by the German company.
M&C Saatchi involved Purple in the study and design of the BMW Calling App which allows users, through their own device, to read a Bluetooth Beacon testifying their presence at events. This was possible thanks to the purchase and configuration of almost 100 Beacons that we sent to Motorrad dealerships, also offering customer service to dealers to complete the configuration which ends with sending an identification code for each configured Beacon; this push action allows the customer (BMW) to view the check-ins at the dealers in the back office and in detail where each individual participant has registered. We have also studied an alternative check-in system for users with unsupported devices, which involves entering a pin that varies in relation to the event in which you participate.
